How to Play EZ Baccarat: Rules, Odds & Strategy
EZ Baccarat eliminates the 5% commission on Banker wins by introducing a push rule: Banker wins with a three-card total of 7 result in a push. This creates a similar house edge without the hassle of commission tracking.

What Is EZ Baccarat?
EZ Baccarat plays like standard baccarat but eliminates the 5% commission on Banker wins. Instead, when the Banker wins with a three-card total of 7, the bet pushes (ties) rather than winning.
Why "Commission-Free"?
Traditional baccarat charges 5% on Banker wins to offset the Banker's statistical advantage. EZ Baccarat achieves the same result through the Dragon 7 push rule:
- No commission to track
- Faster payouts
- Simpler for dealers and players
The Dragon 7 Rule
When Banker wins with a three-card 7, all Banker bets push.
This happens about 2.25% of the time. Converting those wins to pushes creates the house edge instead of commission.
Examples
| Banker Hand | Player Hand | Result |
|---|---|---|
| 3-2-2 (7) | 5 | Banker wins (3 cards) → Push |
| K-7 (7) | 5 | Banker wins (2 cards) → Pays 1:1 |
| 4-3 (7) | 5 | Banker wins (2 cards) → Pays 1:1 |
| 3-2-3 (8) | 5 | Banker wins → Pays 1:1 |
Only three-card Banker 7s push.
Side Bets
EZ Baccarat introduced popular side bets:
Dragon 7
Bet that Banker wins with a three-card 7.
| Bet | Payout | House Edge |
|---|---|---|
| Dragon 7 | 40:1 | 7.61% |
Panda 8
Bet that Player wins with a three-card 8.
| Bet | Payout | House Edge |
|---|---|---|
| Panda 8 | 25:1 | 10.19% |
Both side bets have significantly higher house edges than the main game. Play them sparingly for entertainment.
